“I like the math portion of it – trying to figure out how much sheet metal you need to make the ductwork. There’s more math in sheet metal than there was in finance. In sheet metal, you have to go back to freshman year of high school with all the geometry and fractions. I had to rebuild my skills.”
“The camaraderie of people – they’re not afraid to help you or say, ‘Hey, look at it this way,’ or ‘If you do it this way, it’ll be easier.’ Being here for the full seven weeks, I’ve learned a lot and built a lot of ductwork. I like it and would probably tell people about it. If we stretch out our hands to those seniors in high school, we would get more people to join.”
