WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

Active Duty transitioning and expecting to receive an honorable discharge (priority)
Reserve, National Guard & Veterans (space available)
Spouses of eligible personnel (space available)

To be completed prior to start date:

  1. Complete pre-screen with SMART Heroes Liason Charlotte Rose
  2. Company Commander signs off on the CSP Memo and Battalion Commander approves the CSP memo
  3. Submit a current resume to Charlotte Rose at charlotte@smarthvac.training
  4. Interview with staff of SMART LU 9 JATC
  5. Complete TAP and turn in DD2648 to CSPIA

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Once the service member is accepted into the program, instruction will be four days a week for seven consecutive weeks. The class is full time and will provide the equivalent of first-year apprenticeship training (224 hours).

Six broad categories of instruction will be delivered:

GENERAL SHEET METAL, ARCHITECTURAL, WELDING, HVAC SERVICE
SYSTEM TEST, ADJUST, BALANCE
BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING
